Alabama Crimson Tide – NET ranking (45)

The Crimson Tide has flown under the radar, for the most part, this season outside of the upset against Kentucky, which is the reason they’re projected on the right side of the bubble. But this past week did some damage to Alabama’s resume.

The earlier loss in the week at Mississippi State wasn’t bad but the 18-point defeat at home to Florida this weekend was. The Gators are squarely on the bubble and now has the head-to-head advantage over the Crimson Tide in their only matchup of the regular season.

The overall resume for Alabama is filled with a lot of good and a lot of bad. Wins over UK, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State are helpful while the losses to Northeastern, Georgia State and Texas A&M are the opposite of helpful.

The next three games (Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina) are now must-win for Alabama. Losses to any of them will be detrimental for their resume while wins will simply keep the status quo. At 6-6 in the SEC currently, the Crimson Tide should look to go 4-2 to put themselves in a great position for an at-large bid. They just have to beat the winless Commodores at home on Saturday.
