25. Wofford Terriers

Wofford is arguably the hottest team in the entire nation right now. After starting the season with some tough losses to UNC, OU, KU, and Mississippi State, the Terriers have seriously turned around with some elite play as of late. With Cameron Jackson and Fletcher Magee leading the way, this is an offensive unit that can score on anyone that crosses their schedule. Head coach Mike Young’s team might finish with three straight road games but they have basically already locked up an at-large bid.

24. Buffalo Bulls

Speaking of mid-majors that warrant at-large bids, Buffalo is right in the thick of that conversation. Ever since starting the season at 11-0, the Bulls have had the nation’s attention and that should continue throughout the rest of the year. When on their game, there are very few teams in the country who can slow down Buffalo’s high-powered offense. Their defense has also improved as the season has gone on.

23. Virginia Tech Hokies

Virginia Tech did not play elite competition during this past week but they did secure a couple of ACC wins over Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh. This moved the team to 20-5 (9-4 ACC) on the year and their offense is still among the best in the country. They knock down trifectas better than just about anyone and their ball movement is flat-out elite.
