Iowa has been the Houdini of the Big Ten lately. After a crazy comeback against Northwestern last week, they did it again against Rutgers this week. Joe Wieskamp banked in a three in the last second to give the Hawkeyes an amazing last second win. It was their only game of the week, but what a game it was. It was their fourth straight win and has pushed their record up to 20-5 on the year and they have to be considered one of the teams with a good shot at winning the Big Ten tournament.

The Hawkeyes can score with anybody in the country, but the problem has always been their defense. They have started to pick it up lately and that has spurred their winning streak that started with the upset of Michigan in Iowa City. If they play defense as they have been lately they will be a sleeper team in the tournament.

They host Maryland and Indiana this week in what are two winnable games. The Terrapins will be a tough test, but the Hoosiers have struggled a lot lately and should be a win for the Hawkeyes. After playing Maryland they only have Wisconsin left where they may not bet he favorite. It is a fairly easy schedule to finish the year and the Hawkeyes should see themselves right in the thick of the conference race as the season comes to a close.
