Work Left to Do

Virginia Tech Hokies

The Virginia Tech Hokies have lost three of their last five games in league play and their rotation took an indefinite hit with the loss of senior guard Justin Robinson to injury. The Hokies fell to the Virginia Cavaliers on Monday night, 64-58, at home in one of their worst shooting displays of the season.

Virginia Tech has had an interesting season since things began back in November. They lost senior Chris Clarke for the season before they played a game. Freshman Landers Nolley has been forced to sit his inaugural season after a testing issue. Hopefully, things turn for the better for them soon.

Kerry Blackshear Jr. has been one player that’s stepped up big for them since Robinson’s been out. He put up a season-high 29 points along with nine rebounds and three assists in the Hokies’ 70-64 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers on the road.

They’ve got Notre Dame, Duke, Florida State and Miami left on their schedule, with the Blue Devils and the Seminoles on the road. The challenges will be there for them, they’ll just need to meet them head on.
