2. Virginia Tech earns their 10th win in ACC play

The Virginia Tech Hokies have reached 10 victories in conference action, making them just the fourth team with 10 wins or more in league play this season. They outrebounded the Fighting Irish 49-27 and overcame a rough all-around shooting game to secure a 67-59 victory.

The Hokies were able to fend off the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the road behind 22 points and 14 rebounds from junior big man Kerry Blackshear Jr. It was the Hokies’ fifth-straight game without Justin Robinson. Speculation for Robinson is that he’ll sit one more game against the Duke Blue Devils on Monday before making his return on March 5 against the Florida State Seminoles. If that’s the case, the Hokies should be in good shape entering the final few weeks of the conference regular season.

Virginia Tech looks to be fine entering their game Monday against the Blue Devils. They won the last meeting against Duke, 64-63, in Blacksburg back on Feb. 26, 2018. In a much-awaited rematch, the Hokies are sure to give them all they can handle and then some as they will potentially be without Zion Williamson in the rotation.
