NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Precious Achiuwa schedules first two visits
Georgia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs have nosedived big-time in SEC play in coach Tom Crean’s first year as they currently sit 13th in the conference at 1-13 and are 10-17 overall. Crean got a coup with consensus top-five recruit Anthony Edwards recently committing to the Bulldogs. Edwards joins Jaykwon Walton and Toumani Camara, both of whom signed letters of intent, as part of Georgia’s 2019 recruiting class. That leaves them with just one scholarship remaining and four open offers.
Edwards has said that he plans to try to convince Quinones and Achiuwa to follow him to Athens.
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
It is a surprise to see the Hilltoppers on this list. Especially considering that they have not been to the NCAA Tournament since 2013 and have only garnered one postseason appearance since that time. WKU is currently tied for second in Conference USA with a 16-12 overall record and 9-6 conference record.
The Hilltoppers currently have one senior on scholarship. While WKU could use help on the wing, They have already signed 6-foot-7 forward Isaiah Cozart. Still, the Hilltoppers have seven open offers to players in the 2019 class.

St. John’s Red Storm
The Red Storm were one of the first teams to get involved with Achiuwa and his brother God’sGift Achiuwa played for them for a couple of years. They have seen him on numerous occasions and even have traveled down to Florida to watch him play. St. John’s (20-8, 8-7 Big East) is on the verge of reaching the NCAA Tournament in Hall of Famer Chris Mullin’s fourth year on the bench.
The Red Storm do not currently have any 2019 scholarships available after signing junior college transfer Cameron Mack. It is possible that junior star Shamorie Ponds could leave early for the NBA draft. They do have open offers to Carl Lewis and Chol Marial.
