22. Virginia Tech Hokies

Virginia Tech split their two games during this past week and they definitely belong in the top-25 at this point in time. This is especially true when you consider that the Hokies have continued to play well as of late despite the fact that Justin Robinson has been out of the lineup. With that said, though, VT has two very tough games coming up (vs. Duke, at Florida State) and they will need some exceptional play from everyone on the roster to pull out one of those. In order for the Hokies to stay successful, they will need to avoid picking up too many fouls due to their thin rotation at the moment.

21. Florida State Seminoles

Florida State dropped a road game to North Carolina during this past week but that should not take away from the fact that they had won their previous eight games before that. The Seminoles are clearly playing at a high level and that is evident in their 21-6 (9-5 ACC) record. Every time I look at my rankings this week, I feel as though I am too low on Florida State but they will likely move up significantly with three straight home games coming up. The Seminoles seem to be underrated every single season and maybe this is the year that they break through and reach the Final Four.

20. Wofford Terriers

Wofford has not lost in 2019. I think that basically sums up why they are so high in my rankings this week. They have won 15 consecutive games, are undefeated in SoCon play, and just recorded arguably their best win of the entire season by going on the road and taking down Furman. Due to their incredible play as of late, the Terriers have moved very close to “lock” status for the NCAA Tournament and there is a better than not chance that they run through their entire conference play without a loss. That is extremely impressive given the idea that the SoCon features several underrated teams. Will they keep this streak alive and not only finish the regular season undefeated in conference but also take the SoCon Tournament?
