Team to watch: Houston Cougars

Houston is the best team in the country that, in my opinion, not enough people are paying attention to. Sure, they might not have the same excitement level as a year ago with Rob Gray but this team is flat-out better. The Cougars have been one of the best defensive teams in the entire nation so far this season as they are holding opponents to just the lowest effective field goal percentage in the country (42.0%). Add in the fact that Corey Davis Jr. and Armoni Brooks are a dangerous scoring duo and this is not a team that anyone should look past. Houston is currently a No. 3 seed in this field but they are an under the radar contender for a No. 2 seed. In order for this to happen, though, the Cougars will need to win each of their last four games, including a very tough road test against Cincinnati in the regular-season finale.
