Terrence Shannon – No. 84 overall

Shannon, a 6-6 forward from Chicago, backed off a commitment to DePaul back in August has been heavily considering Florida State, Illinois, and Georgetown along with the Blue Demons, North Carolina, and Texas Tech.

He reclassified from the 2018 class to the 2019 class because he graduated high school at 17, and is spending this year at IMG Academy this year. Shannon handles the ball well for a wing player and has an excellent motor, both of which make him a real threat in transition.

His decision still appears to be murky at this point as he weighs his options but, of all the scenarios, Shannon returning to Illinois to play for Brad Underwood and the Illini seems to be the most likely.

Prediction: Illinois

Harlond Beverly – No. 82 overall

Beverly is a 6-4 combo guard who started his career at Southfield Christian School in Michigan before transferring to Montverde Academy for his final year.

Like Shannon, the move to a premier high school program has Florida has not changed his affection for his home state school. Michigan State is the favorite to land Beverly in my mind. A number of programs have taken a recent interest in him – Baylor, Indiana, and Xavier are also heavily involved – but I think he’ll go with Sparty.

Beverly needs to get stronger (as do most incoming freshmen) and he’s at his best driving and attacking the basket, where added muscle would help when moving to the college game. His size also makes him a very intriguing prospect.

Prediction: Michigan State

Tre Mitchell – No. 81 overall

The top player from Pennsylvania, Mitchell is a versatile 6-9 center who has a ton of upside.

Mitchell has a big frame, has proven to be a solid playmaker from the post, and has a soft touch both around the rim and on his mid-range jumper. He’s also a good athlete for his size and showed potential as a rim protector on the Nike EYBL circuit over the summer, where he averaged 9.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game.

Many schools remain in on Mitchell as he has accrued quite an impressive list of scholarship offers, yet Mike Brey and Notre Dame have the inside track on him. Expect the talented big to end up in South Bend.

Prediction: Notre Dame
