7. Louisville Cardinals (18-11) (9-7 ACC)

Last rank: 5th (↓2)

The Louisville Cardinals have lost three games in a row in league play following a tough loss on the road to the Boston College Golden Eagles, 66-59, on Wednesday night. They find themselves out of the AP Poll after entering them for the first time this season on Jan. 21.

Louisville fell this past Saturday to the Virginia Cavaliers at home, 64-52, behind a lackluster second half. They were outscored 37-15 in the second half despite holding the Cavaliers to 11.8 percent shooting from 3-point land in the contest.

They’ll need to find their way as the conference tournament approaches. They shot just 32.8 percent from the field and 20.8 percent from behind the arc against Boston College as only one player finished scoring in double figures. Steven Enoch led all scorers off the bench with 22 points.

The Cardinals have some work to do since starting out 7-1 in league play. Since then, they’ve gone 2-3 and have lost five of their last six games in ACC action. They’ve got two games left on the slate before the conference tournament begins. First up, they’ll host Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon.
