9. Clemson Tigers (17-11) (7-8 ACC)

Last rank: 9th (↔)

The Clemson Tigers remain steady at their spot in this week’s power rankings after getting the job done this past week. Two straight victories in conference play has the Tigers on the right side of the bubble currently. They’ll need to finish strong with games coming up.

The Tigers beat the Pittsburgh Panthers 62-48, on the road on Tuesday night, to keep their conference record close to .500 at 7-8. They got off to a strong start in the first half, outscoring Pittsburgh 38-16. Things never got close in the second half as they cruised to a victory behind solid all-around team play.

Clemson shot 42.3 percent from the floor and 38.5 percent from 3-point range as they handed the Panthers another conference loss. They’ll need more of that going forward with just a few games left on the conference schedule.

On Saturday evening, they’ll host the Tar Heels at home then on Wednesday night, they’re on the road at Notre Dame.
