8. NC State Wolfpack (20-8) (8-7 ACC)

Last rank: 8th (↔)

The NC State Wolfpack are another team that remains steady in the ACC basketball power rankings thanks to two straight victories in conference play. The Wolfpack will get a bit of a layoff, which comes after a 94-74 victory over Wake Forest on Sunday.

NC State got a season-best 25 points from Markell Johnson on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor and 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range as he worked himself out of a bit of a shooting slump in recent games.

They also got 24 points off the bench from Jerricole Hellems and Devon Daniels. If those two can turn it on in the final stretch, NC State could find themselves even safer in the NCAA Tournament conversation.

The Wolfpack have four of their last five games as they should also find themselves safely away from the bubble. Two of their final three games will come on the road in conference action, so it will be interesting to see how they fare.

On Saturday, they’re on the road against the Florida State Seminoles then on Wednesday night, they host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
