Work left to do

NC State Wolfpack

The NC State Wolfpack could be considered in or on the bubble depending on who you talk to but their three straight wins in conference action are hard to ignore. It’s clear they’ve still got work to do though with three games remaining on the slate.

They got a big game from Markell Johnson in their 94-74 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons last Sunday to push them over the .500 hump record-wise with an 8-7 record in league play. Johnson’s 25 points were his first 20-point game since he put up 20 back on Jan. 3 against the Miami Hurricanes in an 87-82 victory.

He’ll need to find his mojo as they look to build their NCAA Tournament resume and get away from their bad loss to Wake Forest back on Jan. 15. The Wolfpack aren’t in the single-digits seeding wise but a No. 12 seed should be enough to satisfy them.
