Wofford Terriers

Current Bracketology Status: No. 7 seed.

For those who have followed my bracketology pieces throughout this year, seeing Wofford in this piece should not come as a surprise. I have been really high on the Terriers throughout this season and they have really made me look good for the past few weeks. They have won 20 consecutive games (!!!) and will enter the NCAA Tournament as one of the hottest teams in the nation. In addition to boasting an elite backcourt duo of Fletcher Magee (20.4 points) and Nathan Hoover (13.1 points), this team can also feed the inside with Cameron Jackson (14.4 points, 7.5 rebounds), who can also stretch the floor on occasion.

This team has played at an extremely high level throughout this entire season and it is incredible to say that they might only just be hitting their stride. Head coach Mike Young has done an incredible job with his roster and the team is staring down not only an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament but a relatively high seed as well. Because of this, I want to make it clear that making the Sweet 16 would not be a “Cinderella run” for Wofford. I am dead serious when I say that the Terriers are a darkhorse team to win three or four games in the Big Dance.

Fletcher Magee, when on his game, is the kind of player that can catch fire and single-handedly win games. An electric shooter who only needs a millimeter of space to get his shot off, he could be the one who takes the nation by storm over the next few weeks. Hang onto your seats, ladies and gentlemen, because the Terriers could be ready to tear up your bracket.
