Penn State vs Minnesota: 2019 Big Ten Tournament game preview, TV schedule
Review of Penn State
What this means is, that the team Minnesota defeated by one point on January, 19th, 2019, no longer exists. The team that faces Minnesota on the court, Thursday evening is a team that has believed in each other and it’s head coach, when practically everyone else including myself, wrote the season off. Whether the Nittany Lions win or lose on Thursday, or Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday, I have to state that this group of young men are winners…in the game of life. They have undoubtedly learned a valuable lesson. Don’t believe the nay-sayers. Believe in your team-mates.
The ones who have been through the fire, right beside you, every inch, of the climb. Believe in the person who continually told you to just, “Keep improving 1%, every day. Work hard. Things will get better…we’re almost there.”
Standout Players
Senior, Josh Reaves has been recognized as the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year, as voted on by Big Ten coaches. Junior, Lamar Stevens has been recognized by Big Ten coaches and named to the All Big Ten First-Team. These two teammates are certainly deserving of the recognition. Their play has keyed Penn State’s recent success and the duo are looking to add, to that success. This twitter video provides a window into Josh Reaves’ dominance, on Senior day.
Keys to the Game
Coach Chambers was interviewed about the Minnesota game and his keys to victory. This twitter video explains it. In case the twitter link is ever removed…rebounding, play hard without fouling and take care of the basketball.
