Baylor Bears

The Baylor Bears have struggled recently and added in some bad losses to their resume which have dropped a long way on the seed line. They have had a very good season even getting to this point as they weren’t expected to be an NCAA Tournament team.

They have bad home losses from the nonconference against Stephen F. Austin and Texas Southern. They have just a 7-3 record in quad 3/4 games which hurts them a lot. They make up for some of that with their 8-1 record in quad 2 which shows they have gotten a lot better as the season has gone along.

Baylor was able to pick up some big conference wins headlined by a home win over Texas Tech and sweeping both Oklahoma and Iowa State. The bad losses hurt them a lot but they will be in the NCAA Tournament due to these impressive wins.

Their NET ranking is only 39 though which is right behind Oklahoma and Texas. The bad losses really hurt them which is why they’re behind Texas. They will be somewhat nervous on Selection Sunday but the bubble is much worse than past years so they should be solidly in.

There will be undeserving teams in the field but Baylor is not one of them. The bad losses aren’t ideal but they have shown throughout the season that they are worthy of earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. It’s about the full body of work and they have one that’s good enough to get in.

Prediction: 10 seed
