Anthony Lamb – Vermont

Like Ivanauskas, Lamb is the Catamounts leader in points (21.4) and rebounds (7.8) per contest. He scored 24 in a loss at Kansas and 25 in a loss at Louisville, both in November, so he can fill it up against top-flight competition.

The prolific junior has scored 20-plus points 17 times this season, including 42 points in a double overtime victory vs St. Bonaventure, 37 in a win over Harvard, and 28 and 9 in the America East final vs UMBC. The conference player of the year will need a similarly big outing to help Vermont knock off a hot Florida State team.

Drew McDonald – Northern Kentucky

I’m sensing a theme here so far. McDonald’s near double-double averages of 19.1 points and 9.5 rebounds both lead Northern Kentucky.

The Horizon League Player of the Year had 12 double-doubles this season. He had gaudier outings on the year, but he came in clutch during an exciting conference semifinal against Detroit and freshmen sensation Antoine Davis. McDonald went for 18-11-5-1-2 and splashed home the game-winner.
