4. Naz Reid, LSU Tigers

LSU Tigers center Naz Reid is one of the most versatile freshmen big men in this year’s class. The 7-footer has the ability to play down low as well as on the perimeter, making him an instant matchup problem for most opponents.

Reid has posted four games with 20 points or more and seven double-doubles during the regular season. He’s shooting 47.6 percent from the floor and 37 percent from 3-point land as one of the primary scoring options alongside Tremont Waters and Skylar Mays.

The Tigers are making their first NCAA Tournament appearance in three seasons, though it’s recently gone under the cloud of head coach Will Wade and his indefinite suspension.

Off the court distractions aside, LSU earned a No. 3 seed as an at-large from the SEC. There’s a favorable road ahead for them to at least make it to the Sweet 16. Reid’s performance could be key to going beyond that.
