1. Wofford needs to be active with and without the ball on offense

The first key for Wofford against Seton Hall happens when they have the ball in their hands. Yes, they score 83 points per game, but against a Seton Hall team that plays an aggressive style of defense on the perimeter, forcing opponents into contested shots, the Terriers will have to be active without the ball and move the ball quickly and make sure the ball doesn’t start to stick in their hands.

Wofford is a three-point shooting machine and it is not just Magee when it comes to the long ball. Junior Nathan Hoover, while he doesn’t shoot as many shots as Magee, he actually shoots it at a better percentage, knocking down nearly 46% of his 184 attempts. The Terriers dish out over 15 assists per game and that is something they will need to continue that trend against Seton Hall in order to find Magee or Hoover for open looks.

If Wofford is able to play at their pace against the Pirates, they should have some success in getting the Seton Hall perimeter out of position long enough to give the Terriers’ shooters the space they need. This should be one of the marquee matchups in the first round for hoop junkies.
