2. Josh Perkins, Guard, Gonzaga

Like Maye, Gonzaga point guard Josh Perkins enters the NCAA Tournament leading his top seeded team into the Big Dance for a final time.

In his stellar career with the Zags, Perkins set numerous records, including the all-time assists record at the school.

However, that record has not yet amounted to a National Championship win.

The Zags fell just short against North Carolina in the 2017 National Championship, and Perkins will look to avenge that loss this time around, in his final trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Even though Perkins didn’t make the biggest impact this season, averaging just about 11 points per game, his overall contributions across all four years to Gonzaga have led him up to his final climax in this year’s NCAA Tournament.

Gonzaga has a championship-caliber roster, but needs to shake off their stigma of not being able to produce in the NCAA Tournament.

Perkins, the senior catalyst for the Bulldogs, will play a major role in shaking off that sorrowful stigma, as he’ll look to dish his Zags all the way to a National Championship as a one seed.
