12. Alabama Crimson Tide

Like most sports, Alabama’s color scheme is just boring. Of course, if you are calling yourself the Crimson Tide then I suppose you should look Crimson, yes?

Furthermore, a Tide is a wave, why is the stripe down the side of the shorts not a wave? That’s a missed opportunity. Shame, Bama. Shame.

Anyway, the Tide’s uniforms are pretty bland. Red, er- crimson, white. Having white as an accent color just does not really make anything pop.

Hey, at least they tried. The curved stripe down the shorts is a debut on our list, and you know what? It doesn’t look bad. In fact, it makes the uniform look almost not boring.

In the intro we talked about good accents and outlining. These uniforms have no outlining and just seem glued on the jersey, which isn’t great.

But, of course, I’m sure if you ask the Tide, they care more about wins than looking good. That’s fine, most teams should, but wouldn’t it be fun to look good AND play good?

Something to consider, Tide.

These uniforms rank a 4 of 10 just based on Alabama being boring. Sorry, Bama fans. Your athletic teams are good, but your look is far from good.
