3. X-factors: Look out for Zach Norvell Jr. and Raiquan Gray

I agree with my Busting Brackets colleague Alex Weber when he says that fans should be on the lookout for Norvell Jr to get hot from behind the arc. He shot just under 40 percent from out there against Fairleigh Dickinson as he made 3-of-8 shots. He wasn’t as accurate against the Baylor Bears (1-of-6) but he can get hot if he gets good looks and knocks them down. Having a dangerous three-point shooter on your team in the playoffs can make a big difference when it matters most so I would pay attention to the kind of looks he gets and how consistent he is throughout the game.

Gray put up 11 points and five steals against the Murray State Racers on 3-of-4 shooting from behind the three-point line and his contributions will be key for the Seminoles. In the game against Vermont, he put up another eight points and two steals. He is a very valuable piece for them on both ends of the floor. Teams nowadays need a forward who can shoot, cause turnovers and create extra possessions for their team. Look for Gray to be the one who gets a turnover for the Seminoles at a pivotal moment in the game or scores when the Seminoles really need it.

These two guys play different positions and may end up switched on one another at some point. Who knows? They make an impact on their teams no question about it. It will be a matter of who makes more of an impact in a Sweet 16 victory.
