Greg Brown – Austin, TX

PF | 6-foot-9 | 195 lbs | No. 6 overall

Arguably the most athletic player in the entire class, Greg Brown is incredibly gifted. He boasts plenty of size at 6-foot-9 with a lengthy wingspan and seemingly glides through the air. In addition to his bounce, Brown runs the floor exceeding the well and is able to finish above the rim with ease in transition. On the defensive end, Brown uses his unique physical gifts to be a rim-protecting power forward with the versatility needed to cover multiple positions as well.

He might not be the most skilled offensive player but he is often able to win his one-on-one matchup due to his quickness. If Brown is able to develop a more consistent jumper, he will shoot up these rankings even further and into the discussion as a top-5 pick for the NBA Draft after a short collegiate career. That will depend on how well he is able to refine his game, though, as the athletic and physical gifts are already there for him to be an extremely successful player.

Brown played on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit this past summer and was tremendous. While participating in 14 contests for Team Faith, he averaged 17.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting a ridiculous 67.4% from the field. And while you might think that most of his shot attempts would come around the rim, he also dropped in 12 of his 25 3PA. The issue will be finding consistency there as his 50-for-94 (53.2%) shooting the free throw line is not a great sign.

Brown is reportedly down to 10 schools: Auburn, Texas, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Memphis, LSU, North Carolina, Kansas, and Baylor.
