Chances Michigan State gets back to another Final Four

They’re much higher than you might think.

Michigan State is set to lose key seniors in Goins and McQuaid, but there is a very real possibility that everyone else on the roster will be back in the Green & White next year. Winston is the big wild card in there with his potential to leave for the NBA, yet he isn’t currently projected to be a first-round pick – so it would not be a surprise to see him come back for his senior season.

Next season will also mean a healthy Langford and fully healthy Ward as the Spartans would get their Big Three back in full force. Assuming Henry and Brown take the next steps forward in their developments as expected, Michigan State could have a seven-man rotation consisting of talented, experienced players that all played a major part during this run.

That doesn’t count some of the talented freshmen that are part of their year’s recruiting class, either. Michigan State will help make up for their lack of size with Malik Hall, a 6-foot-7 forward who is the No. 55 recruit in the class. However, the highest-ranked player currently committed is 6-2 combo guard Rocket Watts (No. 32 overall). He’s a gifted scorer that would provide an excellent spark off the bench as long as he signs with the Spartans (Florida State is making a push to flip him).

With an experienced, talented roster like that, Michigan State will be the consensus favorite in the Big Ten and will be ranked in the top-5 in every preseason poll (assuming they don’t lose Winston, of course).
