How Texas Tech performed during the season

The Red Raiders essentially ran the table throughout the season, playing pretty spotless for most of the year.

Texas Tech lost just one game in non-conference play, a road game in Duke in which the Red Raiders led deep in the second half.

Once conference play began, the consistency continued. Texas Tech lost just one game all season at home, and played exceptionally well on the road, withstanding a rigorous Big 12 schedule.

Once the Big 12 Tournament began, Texas Tech seemed a bit out of sorts. The Red Raiders were the victims of a massive upset, losing to ten seeded West Virginia, despite having the number one seed in the Tournament.

However, Texas Tech shook off the rust once the NCAA Tournament began, looking sharp in blowout wins over Northern Kentucky in the first round, and Buffalo in the second round.

Perhaps the most impressive performances of the season came in the second weekend of the tournament, where the Red Raiders blew out Michigan and defeated Gonzaga in a three-day span. The run capped off a spectacular season for Texas Tech, in which their consistency, poise, and great defense lead the way for the Red Raiders, who have made an improbable run to the Final Four.
