Sestina’s impact at Kentucky next year

From a pure basketball standpoint, Sestina’s game is still growing as he came from a very small town and did not have many people his size nor his skill in the area. Calipari has put a forward into the NBA every year that he has been at Kentucky, and that will not change this year as PJ Washington is on that path as well. Could Sestina be the next in that great line?

He has never been the player to play many minutes in a college game this season being the most at 27.8 minutes a game, but he has been very methodical during that span. So, I think he has a real chance to be something if he takes to Calipari as he has something that Calipari has never really had out of a big man, he can step out and take a three-pointer. I think that bodes really well for Sestina trying to get consistent playing time for Kentucky. Sestina has always been a leader on his teams again going back to him playing in the lowest classification of basketball in Pennsylvania in high school.

This could be a match made in heaven for both Calipari and Sestina. Sestina is going to play for one of the top coaches in all of college basketball, and for Calipari, he now has a big that can do everything on the court. We saw how well Reid Travis did this season for Kentucky and Sestina could do the same.
