13. Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas has some work to do if they want to improve on last year. Thanks to Daniel Gafford, this team was actually able to compete for a potential spot in the NCAA Tournament late in the season.  They obviously didn’t make it there, and I don’t expect the upcoming season to be any different.

Gafford will be gone to the draft, and the majority of this team’s success will revolve around Isaiah Joe. I don’t believe that his is incapable of doing it, but I would rather be able to pair him with more talent. Arkansas simply won’t have it.

Their only recruit coming in as of now is a 3-star point guard named Justice Hill, so don’t expect a huge boost from new players. Unless their new head coach Eric Musselman can bring in some new talent, this roster will be soft. Look for Musselman to scour the transfer market for any talent he can get his hands on.

Fans are expecting this to be a rebuilding year, and they practically have to. The team just won’t have the talent or chemistry necessary to compete this year. I believe Musselman is the future of Arkansas basketball, but it takes time without strong leadership or highly-touted recruiting prospects. As of right now, they have neither of those things.
