9. Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes had a down year in 2018-19, but don’t expect that continue in 2019-20. The Hurricanes went 14-18 last season, 5-13 in the ACC as the 11th overall team in the conference. They didn’t have a star guard to offset the contributions of Chris Lykes, but help is on the way.

They only have two players incoming in their 2019 recruiting class but they’ve still managed to remain in the Top 50 overall among Division I schools. Two-way guard Isaiah Wong is one freshman to keep an eye on heading into his freshman season.

The Hurricanes will return Lykes, the team’s leading scorer and they still have two offers left on the table in the 2019 recruiting class. If they can secure a target or two, things could look a whole lot different for Jim Larranaga and company next year. Last year was the first season he finished under .500 as the team’s head coach.
