Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana has not exactly dominated on the court since Archie Miller took over as the head coach. With that said, though, the Hoosiers have definitely been successful on the recruiting trail and it should only be a matter of time before a deep NCAA Tournament run occurs. With regards to the current 2019 recruiting class, Coach Miller has already landed a pair of solid commits in Trayce Jackson-Davis (No. 19) and Armaan Franklin (No. 156) – could Lester Quinones be next?

With regards to fit, Indiana is in need of a shooting guard for next season following the expected departure of Romeo Langford, who is projected as a first-round pick. In addition, the Hoosiers already missed out on landing Harlond Beverly so they could be launching a full-court press on Quinones. Even though Indiana has not always been heavily involved in this recruitment, they have apparently made him a priority since. Quinones had this to say about their contact:

"“They came in just a little while ago and Coach Archie Miller has been texting me and my high school coaches lately. They need a scorer and shooter to come in right away, which I think I can do. I’m starting to build a strong relationship with Coach Miller and his assistants.”"

Considering the fact that Quinones is expected to wait on making a commitment until late spring, there is still time for Indiana’s staff to continue developing this relationship. Indiana recently landed graduate transfer big man Joey Brunk (Butler) so they have filled a hole in the frontcourt. Snagging a wing shooter like Quinones would be the next step in building a strong 2019-20 campaign.

Quinones is planning on visiting Indiana from April 24-26.
