World – Winner

Nico Mannion – Arizona

Mannion exploded during this game. He led the game in points with 30 and also had five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Those numbers are insane considering he saw a steady dose of Tyrese Maxey and Cole Anthony guarding him. Without him, the World team would not have had much of a chance as no one else played very well with the exception of Precious Achiuwa.

Mannion was very efficient also shooting 8-14 from the field including 3-7 from 3. He played alongside future teammate Josh Green who I am guessing is thanking his lucky stars that he will be playing with Mannion next year instead of against him.

He put most people who watched on notice that he is here to stay. He will be a great scorer for Arizona next something the desperately needed this year, he might be the not top pick from the Wildcats. Watch out for Mannion next year PAC-12 he is coming for blood.

World – Loser

Josh Green – Arizona

Well, the best player for the World team is going to Arizona and so is the most disappointing. Josh Green who is actually rated higher than Mannion struggled. Green shot 28% from the field and missed all 4 of his free throws. He did have 6 rebounds which is a respectable number for a guard, but the rest of his game has seen better days. He did also dish out 4 assists, but for the most part, looked stifled.

This is not a good sign for Sean Miller. I already think that the Wildcats could be in for another tough year, but if the two freshmen show up that could completely change that narrative. Nico Mannion showed that he is ready, but at the Nike Hoop Summit, Josh Green did not.
