Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Total commitments: 0

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have yet to sign a player to the 2019 recruiting class and it was a season of growing pains for them with the loss of senior Rex Pflueger 10 games into the regular season. Luckily, he was granted a fifth season in 2019-20. They also had a freshman and a sophomore in the starting rotation which explains their 3-15 record in conference play.

Head coach Mike Brey’s job isn’t in danger but he’s got some room to make a splash on the recruiting trail given how things went in 2018-19. With four spots open and two open offers for Cole Anthony and Mattew Hurt, they could go without a signee in their 2019 class.

D.J. Harvey and John Mooney weren’t bad options. Mooney took home the Most Improved Player award, after all, putting up 14.1 points and 11.2 rebounds per game in 2018-19. He should have a strong senior season. Harvey is transferring averaging 10.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game through 29 starts. It will be interesting to see which direction things go for the Fighting Irish as they looked like a team in need of a number one option on the floor.
