9. Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Oklahoma State Cowboys had an atrocious season, entering in with little expectations, and leaving with few accomplishments.

However, despite being the only sub-.500 Big 12 team overall, the Cowboys showed some serious grit and grind throughout the season, doing everything possible to create a positive atmosphere around the program amidst a rebuilding phase.

Next season, I think things will be at least a little bit better in Stillwater.

Lindy Waters, the Cowboys’ top scorer, is returning for his senior season. Waters is one of the best returning players in the Big 12 and will be tasked with leading the Cowboys offense.

Oklahoma State will return the majority of their difference-makers, as fellow rising seniors Thomas Dziagwa and Cameron McGriff are also returning.

As for underclassmen, rising star forward Yor Anei will step into a bigger role for the Cowboys after showcasing spectacular abilities on defense and in the post.

Finally, the Cowboys landed a big recruit in ESPN100 four-star guard Chris Harris Jr. The mixture of returning seniors and rising freshmen and sophomores will certainly make this Oklahoma State team much better than advertised.
