Look for underclassmen to make contributions

As good as Henry was this past season and even though Brown contributed as freshmen, two incoming freshmen will give the Spartans some quality depth and scoring off of the bench. Incoming freshmen Rockett Watts and Malik Hall will more than likely provide an immediate spark off of the bench for the Spartans in 2019-2020.

Watts has drawn comparisons to former Spartan great Kalin Lucas. Maybe not the passer as Lucas was but he has explosiveness and drive when attacking the basket and can shoot from the outside. He is a consensus top 35 recruit and will be asked to contribute as a true freshman.

Hall according to 247 Sports is the 55th top ranked player in the 2019 class. At 6’7 he could play at the 4 if need be. The hope is that he can blossom like Henry did this season as a true freshman and contribute immediately.

One thing is for certain, the Spartans will have more depth and experience than they did this season. The younger players should blend well with the upperclassmen for the 2019-2020 season.
