Other Offers

Lester Quinones – He was originally thought to be leaning to going to LSU, but ever since that Will Wade scandal it has been a lot of Memphis for him. He would be a day 1 starting backcourt player for Penny Hardaway, he is ranked 64th at 24/7sports.

Precious Achiuwa – Achiuwa going to Memphis, in my opinion, would all but sign and seal them a ticket into the NCAA tournament. His athleticism is freakish, while it is not like Zion he can skill move and fly. He is ranked 13th at 24/7sports.

Trendon Watford – Watford would be the last person that they would need to sign to have the complete lineup of freshman. Watford according to 24/7sport is ranked 27th. I think that he could make a scary frontcourt with Wiseman. Wiseman is the defender while Watford would be the scorer much like DJ Jeffries who they have also already signed.

Thoughts

This class is deep and loaded with superstar potential. This class if they even sign 2 of the previously mentioned few they will be scary good, and more than likely the top class in the nation. If they sign all of them oh boy. They have the potential to have the number 1,13,27,47,and 64 players in the nation. They could put them out in their starting lineup and have a scary mix of size, scoring, and athleticism, while all of them are freshmen. I do not think that they will do that, but they could completely change themselves in a matter of two years under a new coach.

I have mentioned Kentucky before with comparisons of Wiseman to Davis, but I think this entire transformation could be similar to that. Kentucky was a mediocre team under previous coach Billy Gillispie, then at the snap of a finger under Calipari was a national title contender. Watch out for Memphis here in the near future as I think they could take the NCAA by storm in a hurry before many others have a chance to react to what is going on.
