Precious Achiuwa

Precious Achiuwa is an absolute beast who will be a huge addition to whatever team he decides to commit too. If you put him in the frontline with Udoka Azubuike that is two guys who are difference makers and would form one of the best duos in the country.

The Jayhawks don’t seem to be the frontrunners for him, but that could change depending on the Silvio De Sousa appeal. If he remains in the draft then this becomes a more appealing spot for him as well as for some other prospects as well. De Sousa would most likely be the starting power forward if he were to return which would steer a guy like Achiuwa away since he is expected to be in college for just one year.

Achiuwa has some areas of his game that need to be polished, but he is an athletic freak who can play either forward spot if needed. He could start alongside De Sousa and Azubuike to make an absolutely terrorizing front line, but I don’t see that happening as things currently stand.

There have been many top schools involved in his recruitment, but it seems as if the frontrunners are Connecticut and Memphis. The Huskies have been the favorite for a long time, but Penny Hardaway and the Tigers have made a late push that gives them a chance to get him.

Kansas isn’t 100% out of it, but he might be the most unlikely to join the Jayhawks out of the five players on this list. They already have a few other players they’re targetting, but if they were able to find a way to get Achiuwa that would give them a chance at having a special season.
