Florida State Seminoles

Florida State has been one of the more underrated programs in the country over the past few years. While they have largely been overshadowed by other elite teams in the ACC, head coach Leonard Hamilton has built an extremely consistent machine that seemingly always makes the NCAA Tournament with the potential for a deep run. He has done this by constantly recruiting to fit his system, and that includes reaching out to the most athletic and lanky players in the nation. With regards to this recruitment, it is important to mention that Barnes would fit that bill while also boasting his incredible all-around skill level.

Barnes will a college-ready difference-maker from the moment he steps foot on any campus and the Seminoles would be able to put him in a position to succeed. Considering the fact that Florida State is located relatively close to Barnes in comparison to the rest of the programs on this list, that proximity could play a role in this recruitment. It is impossible to tell exactly how much location will impact where Barnes eventually commits, but it is noteworthy. In addition to competing closer to home, there is also a higher likelihood of playing alongside some of his former teammates who may choose to stay in the area.

Florida State is an excellent program with regards to development and you can be sure that he would leave the program as a better player even after just one year. He has already visited the school and seems to buy into how Coach Hamilton has built his program.
