5. Arizona State

The Arizona State Sun Devils are an intriguing option for Brown. They are a program on the rise that has made the NCAA Tournament the past two years even though both of those years started off with trips to the First Four in Dayton.

The Pac-12 Conference as a whole has been disappointing recently, but they seem to be back on the rise with at least a few teams set for big jumps in the 2019-20 season. The Sun Devils are certainly one of those teams led by their head coach Bobby Hurley.

He has been the coach at Arizona State for four years and they have continued to improve during his time with the school. They won just 15 games in each of his first two seasons, but they improved to 20 a year ago and then up to 23 this past season.

All of the excitement around the program is there which helps with Brown’s interest, but he has some talented players that he will be playing with if he decides to come to Tempe. They lose two key players in Luguentz Dort and Zylan Cheatham, but with guys like Remy Martin and Romello White back they should have a chance to be a very good team.

Both of those players will be juniors next season and they could form a very good trio with Brown for the 2020-2021 season. With the number of movement with players, it’s hard to project who all will be on this team in two years, but they have some talented players on the roster and they have done a good job recruiting so Brown can expect to be apart of a competitive team at Arizona State if that’s where he decides to play.
