1. Gonzaga

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have proven themselves to be one of the elite programs in all of college basketball over the past 20 years under head coach Mark Few. He has done an amazing job with this program and he truly is one of the best ten coaches in the country at the very least. They have made the NCAA Tournament every season including a Final Four appearance in 2017.

Last year’s team was very good, but there is a good chance that they will lose a large part of the roster. Rui Hachimura and Brandon Clarke are heading for the NBA while Josh Perkins and Geno Crandall are graduating, with other players possibly staying in the NBA Draft as well.

This is a program that has continued to recruit better though and they now have the 7th ranked recruiting class for 2019 according to 247sports. The class features four players ranked in the top 74 headlined by four-star center Drew Timme and forward Anton Watson. They continue to bring in good depth in the frontcourt, but they could really use Gilder to add to their backcourt.

They do still have the potential to form a really good backcourt though with Corey Kispert and Zach Norvell Jr. leading the way. Norvell is a strong candidate to stay in the NBA Draft, but if he does return he would have the chance to be one of the top players in the country.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are an option for many top players in the country, but it takes the right player to buy into what they do. They’ve had plenty of talented players, but the majority of them would prefer to play in a power conference against other top schools. If he were to go to Spokane that might be the best team he could play on, but is that the right option for him?
