NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Pros and cons of Lester Quinones final 4 teams
By Josh Stevens
No. 3 LSU
This is the same team that ended up ending the Terrapins season on a last-second shot by Tremont Waters. The Tigers have a few issues going into next season. You do not have to look far for a bigger issue than Will Wade. That entire scandal whether or not it is actually true will always loom over his head. At this point any recruit he signs people will wonder if he gave them some extra. Also to go along with that Tremont Water, Naz Reid, and Skyler Mays all entering the draft could cause the team to slip. Reid is a projected first-round pick and Waters is a fringe second rounder. If he wants to play for a team that is going to win LSU will have one of the more difficult schedules, lost over half of their starting line-up, and have a coach will a big red flag around him.
There is a lot of good for LSU too though. With a lot of players leaving and graduating, that will open up a lot of playing time. If all three of those players stay in the draft you could very well see Quinones starting at the off-guard next year. LSU also likes to play a fast game that I think will play very well for Quinones. It is also one of those schools where it would just be fun to be at.
The Tigers have a very good atmosphere in all of their sports, especially football, so if he ever wanted to go to a game it would be better than any of the other schools. He would also have the ability to show his skills off against Kentucky, Tennessee, and Auburn all teams that look like they will turn out NBA players left, right, and center.
