Zion Williamson: Khal Drogo

This is obviously more of a physical comparison than anything else. Zion Williamson is measured at 6’7″ and 285 pounds. That would make him one of the heaviest NBA players in his first season. That measurement was taken to start his freshman year at college, so he could have possibly gained more muscle at Duke.

Despite his size, he manages to glide through the lane. He has all the pros of being a strong player, but he appears to lack the weaknesses that come with a heavy frame. He still has the agility to move with and without the ball.

When looking at Khal Drogo, he is clearly one of the strongest men in the Essos. Also, Dothraki warriors like Khal Drogo are known to fight in the saddle. Thanks to their horses, one might say that they have all the pros of being a strong warrior, but they lack the weaknesses that come with a heavy frame.

Also, I doubt I’d ever want to take Zion in a fight, and I know for a fact I’d never want to fight Khal Drogo. That’s not to say that I’d want to fight any member of the Dothraki, but Khal Drogo was the greatest warrior of the greatest group of warriors for a reason.

RJ Barrett: Jaime Lannister

When I first thought of an RJ Barrett comp, it was King Joffrey. However, Barrett is nowhere near the villain that he was. Honestly, there are no “villains” of this draft process so far.

Here’s why this comparison works: Barrett comes from a noble program in Duke. He had high expectations in the beginning, but his flaws kept him from being who some thought he could become. When scouting, he gives you reasons to both love and hate him. Also, Barrett is left-handed, and he has a tendency to avoid using his right.

Jaime Lannister is from House Lannister, one of the most powerful houses in Westeros. He shows strength as a swordsman, but his flaws are abundant, especially in the early seasons. He gives us plenty of reasons to both love and hate him. The best part about this comparison is that Jaime literally doesn’t have a right hand.
