No. 5 – Wake Forest

The Demon Deacons I think only bought themselves a spot in the final schools because they are one of the home town schools. Being from North Carolina I think Cone put them in to maybe give them a false sense of hope. They were more than likely recruiting him from the beginning as they had a front row seat to watch him play in high school.

They had a terrible season this year going 11-20 with their best win coming against rival NCST at home by four. The Deacons are going to need a miracle to pull this recruitment off. They good part about going to play here would be much like Boston College he would be given the starting sport fairly early, and would be able to develop without much pressure. The issues with the schools is that I honestly think that Boston College would make the tournament before they do at this point.

The do have the wonderful pitch of saying another undersized guard in Chris Paul went here which is a great pitch knowing where Paul is today. I just think that Cone wants to pay for a team that is going to compete, and both of the schools I have said really do not offer that.
