NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Ranking 2019 guard Jalen Cone’s final 6 schools
By Josh Stevens
No. 3 – North Carolina State
The Wolfpack basically played themselves out of the NCAA tournament this season. They lost to rival Wake Forest a terrible team this season, then lost to Georgia Tech on home court, and to top it off lost by 25 to Virginia in the ACC tournament. The news then got worse for them as top 100 Jalen Lecque decided he was going to enter the NBA draft instead of playing in college. They could have used that to help them in this recruiting cycle as they may have pushed harder for Jalen Cone knowing how much he was now needed.
The Wolfpack has something to do with freakish athlete at the point guard position with a man named Dennis Smith Jr. They turned him into a lottery pick due to his jumping ability. Cone is very similar in that aspect. Do I think he is a polished at Smith Jr., not in a long shot, but I do think he could be just as good driving, and have a jumper by his senior season.
Cone would also be staying home for the Wolfpack, but right now I think they joined to late due to thinking that had the other Jalen up until just over a month ago.
