Devon Dotson – Kansas

Dotson is a player that I think has the potential to be special at the next level. That does not come without growing pains though. He is someone who is going to have to take care of the ball better. Dotson this season carried a 1.6-1 assist to turnover ratio, that is something that will need to improve greatly. He will need to shoot the ball better from range as well. He was 36% for the year, and really had a few games that boosted that percentage.

His plus side is tremendous as he can run, knows the game very well, and showed this year he can shoot he just needs to do it more consistently. Dotson is right now not projected to be drafted by many sites, but I think he has the best chance of moving up on boards due to the fact he is a freshman.

We see teams take the younger player that they could develop for an extra year or two over someone who is a better player right now. Even if he does not get drafted he will almost certainly draw the attention from some NBA executives, and that should earn him at least a two-way contract.

Prediction: Remains in NBA Draft
