Jeremy Roach – Fairfax, VA

PG | 6-foot-2 | 165 lbs | No. 15 overall

COMMITTED TO DUKE.

After being sought after by many of the other elite programs in the country over the past couple of years, Jeremy Roach made the decision to become the heir to Tre Jones in Durham on May 8. As of his commitment day, Roach is the top-rated player in the 2020 class to already make his college decision. A superb floor general that dictates offenses at a high level, Roach projects as a superb point guard at the high-major level.

As a floor general, he sees the floor extremely well and understands when to make plays by himself and when to find an open teammate. He is also relatively quick and brings solid size (6-foot-2) to the guard position so he should be a capable defender as well. Roach can let it fly from distance with consistency and also is strong enough to finish around the rim even if he is not the most acrobatic.

Roach did miss this past high school season due to an ACL injury but the expectation should be that he returns to form when healthy. With regards to his commitment to Duke, he had this to say to 247Sports:

"“I just felt like as soon as I went down there it was right for me. It was just a gut feeling in everybody’s stomach, even my sister, my brother, my dad and my mom. I went everywhere, I went to Kentucky and Villanova, I just didn’t feel the same way I did at Duke.” “They are just easy to talk to and they always want the best for you. They are going to work you and push you every day in practice and just never going to short you.”"

Duke got a good one. Shocking.
