Arkansas Razorbacks: 2013

Arkansas has had a few decent recruiting classes in the past decade. Nothing like what Kentucky has done, but they’ve had a few quality players come through the pipeline. However, they usually lack a deep class that gives the Razorbacks multiple high-level starters. When you rate Arkansas classes, the best way to do it is by looking at the best player from each class. Stars came few and far between, so they really helped define draft classes.

The best recruit from the past decade for Arkansas was definitely Bobby Portis. He came in as the best recruit, he had one of the best careers, and he’s the best NBA prospect. He checks every box.

Add in Moses Kingsley to this class and it makes 2013 the best. Kingsley never had stellar statistics, but he was a quality leader on the Razorbacks.

Another great recruiting class for Arkansas was 2017. This was mostly because of Daniel Gafford. Gafford is one of the best Arkansas players of recent memory, but he has nothing on Portis. When you grade Arkansas, you have to change your scale. This is simply because they haven’t recruited the same talent that other schools have in the SEC. Because of this, an average class like 2013 now becomes the best of theirs in the past decade.
