Patrick Baldwin Jr. – Sussex, WI

SF | 6-foot-8 | 190 lbs | No. 1 overall

Patrick Baldwin Jr. is clearly a top-3 prospect in the 2021 class at this point in time. With a superb 6-foot-8 frame and well-rounded game, it is easy to see that he is already extremely talented with an insane ceiling. He is already a strong perimeter shooter with the ability to attack the basket with consistency as well. While not the best defender for the moment, his frame and athleticism show that he has the potential to be “lockdown” on that end.

On the EYBL circuit, Baldwin is currently playing for Phenom University (17U) alongside top 2020 prospect Jalen Johnson. In his first seven recorded games, he is averaging highly-efficient numbers of 19.3 points (.554/.429/.750), 5.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. He is clearly showing his elite-level scoring ability while also playing a year up at the U17 level. His play has made headlines throughout the circuit and it is easy to see why he is rated as the top player in the 2021 class right now.

The expectation should be that Baldwin uses the next couple of years to continue to fill out his frame. With added strength, he will continue to develop as a finisher around the rim while also potentially adding some defensive versatility. He will be a stud at the college level in a few years.
