Aminu Mohammed – Washington, DC

SG | 6-foot-4 | 175 lbs | No. 9 overall

Aminu Mohammed is already a well-built wing with a unique ability to create for himself offensively. In addition to being able to use finesse dribbling to create space for shots, he can also bully his way into the paint against the right matchup to score around the rim. Mohammed has already shown that he can score at all three levels and his motor is off the charts. He seemingly flies around the court in search of loose balls and can apply pressure defensively.

Mohammed is currently playing for Boo Williams (17U) on the EYBL circuit and has showcased his high-scoring abilities. Through seven recorded games, he is averaging 17.9 points on 57.6% shooting from the field (despite just 2-for-15 from three). Mohammed is also recording 8.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game as he is displaying his nose for the basketball.

Although Mohammed can definitely impact any game in a number of ways, he is at his best with the ball in his hands. Although not a superb creator at this point, he can get into the lane at will and often finds the right man if double-teamed. That is certainly a valuable skill, especially when he will draw extra attention often due to his strong finishing.
