Zeb Jackson

Class of 2020 – No. 59

One of the top 2020 players currently committed to a school, Zeb Jackson looks like a major piece of the puzzle for Michigan’s future. An all-around superb talent who can play either backcourt position, Jackson was a very early commit to UM and his commitment needs to stay. He is an elite playmaking guard with the ability to be a leader on the court for many years with the program if he chooses to remain committed.

Following the announcement of Howard taking on the head coaching job, Jackson tweeted out this photo from three years ago:

While analyzing tweets for determining future outcomes is definitely an imperfect science, this certainly seems like a trend in the right direction for the Michigan program. Jackson could now be seen as the piece from which Coach Howard will build a dynamite 2020 class. Many fans believe that Howard will be a recruiting dynamo with the program and having a top-60 guard to build around isn’t a bad place to start.

For the time being, it seems unlikely that Jackson will decommit but there were several elite-level programs in pursuit of landing his commitment before he decided on Michigan. Jackson could be the first player that Howard calls to make sure he remains with the program.
