Kadin Shedrick – Holly Springs, NC

C | 6-foot-11 | 200 lbs | No. 64 overall

Ranked as one of the top incoming centers in the entire class of 2019, Kadin Shedrick looks to be a future star for the Cavaliers on both ends of the floor. Although not the most physically-built player, he has excellent size and length that he uses quite well. On the offensive end of the floor, he is a solid post player but his versatility shows as a shooting threat out to the 3-point range. Defensively, he exhibits nice timing with regards to shot-blocking as well.

To put it simply, Shedrick has all of the makings of an immediately impactful big man. While there are some limitations with regards to his strength, his skill set should not be overlooked. He is already relatively polished as a player but there is a ton of room for him to grow with more bulk and development. Also, with Mamadi Diakite and Jay Huff confirmed as returners for next year, Shedrick will be able to learn from two solid frontcourt players.

Shedrick should be an immediate member of the rotation due to his all-around skill. Even with the two previously mentioned frontcourt options on the roster, he will find minutes and should be impactful when on the court. His versatility is a great attribute and he should only continue to improve under the guidance of UVa’s coaching staff.
