Terrence Shannon – Bradenton, FL

SF | 6-foot-6 | 185 lbs | No. 83 overall

Another versatile wing option, Terrence Shannon comes in as a very highly-touted recruit. Ranked at No. 83 in the class, Shannon garnered plenty of recruiting attention prior to committing to Texas Tech. With regards to what he might bring to the table, Shannon projects as a solid all-around wing with the ability to defend multiple positions and finish in transition. He is not a major perimeter threat as a shooter but that can be developed over time.

Evan Daniels of 247Sports projects Shannon as a “good four-year college player with upside because of his physical gifts.” This seems like a great prognosis for Texas Tech fans and I believe that he can be an immediately impactful player for the program. His defensive abilities should translate right away and he should still represent a scoring threat when on the court.

Shannon, in my opinion, will find plenty of minutes in the rotation as a true freshman. The Red Raiders are bringing in a ton of wing talent but he is right at the top of the list. With his 6-foot-6 frame and strong game, it is hard to imagine that he will not see his fair share of playing time.
